Once a thermal no longer changes color (aka dies), you can still wear them! The thermals that I own that have died, all stayed in the warm state but it’s not guaranteed to stay in the warm. I store my thermals with my other nail polish in the Ikea helmers. To get the most out of a thermal (all nail polish really) you’ll want to store them in a cool, dark place. ![]() Sherri gives her thermals a 9-18 month shelf life. I will note that thermal polishes do have a shelf life (generally at least 6-12 months) on how long they will change colors for. Caitlin from Streets Ahead Style did a great job showing these on shorter nails on both her blog post and YouTube channel! On nails without much of a free edge, you probably won’t see multiple colors at the same time. I didn’t have any issues getting the colors to change naturally. ![]() I really liked all of these but if I had to pick a favorite, I would go with Startle for the color but Scream for the color range. This was such a fun trio! The formulas were easy to work with. Website | Instagram | Facebook | facebook group I let Sherri know and she has already corrected this so the bottles that are sold won’t have this issue! Paint It Pretty Note: I did notice some small pieces of pigment in this polish. This started transitioning right away on my nails. Startle applied so smoothly the application felt I was applying a creme polish! The flakes and shimmer give a fiery like appearance. ![]() As an enthusiastic candy corn lover, I am totally for candy corn nails!ĭescription: a blue (warm) to purple (cold) thermal with a red/gold/green shimmer with purple to gold and bronze to gold shifting flakes. While I know candy corn doesn’t usually have red in it, this is a candy corn nail polish to me. I had just a touch of VNL with this in the warm state on some angles but I had to look for it. This also applied very smoothly and I didn’t have any texture from the flakies. By the time I finished my final coat I was seeing all 3 color states on my nails. Scream took a few extra seconds to start transitioning on me but I am guessing that my hands were just colder when I started swatching this one. No issues on removal.ĭescription: a yellow to orange to red tri thermal with orange/yellow iridescent shifting flakes. I would imagine on shorter nails this would be opaque in 2 coats. I had a few light spots towards the tips of my nails in 2 coats so my photos show it in 3 coats. I just love the way the flakies pair with this base color! I did find that the color of this was more of a red-ish orange to a dark brown than a red to black. It applies so smoothly and the flakies don’t give leave texture. Scare transitioned right away as I was applying it. Scareĭescription: a red to black thermal polish with yellow/orange/green iridescent shifting flakes My photos were taken indoors with daylight bulbs, outdoors with natural light plus both matte and glossy top coats. Btw, I used their flakie topper collection for the banner on this blog!ĭisclaimer: I was sent these products as PR in exchange for photographs and an honest review. Their polishes are handmade in Canada, 5 free, vegan and cruelty free. If you haven’t heard of this brand before, Paint It Pretty Polish is an indie nail polish brand.
